Anja tells you more about working in the TalentService at XING and why this job is so special
Interview
...who are you and what is your job at XING?
I am Anja, mom to a daughter and dog mom to a dog. I am with the company since September 2021 and work as a Recruitment Consultant in our TalentService team - we help customers in their active sourcing processes.
How would you describe the working atmosphere in your team?
This is the most collaborative team I have ever worked in! We help each other with daily tasks and share insights and knowledge freely. Additionally, we have a great mixture of different characters that inspire each other to try new things. I love being able to be my own nerdy self in this team.
What does a typical working day in your job role look like?
A typical day for me involves a mixture of tasks where I can be creative, such as writing cool recruiter messages, tasks that are completely my own, like conducting my projects independently, and engaging in exchanges with colleagues. However, a home office day may look quite different from an office day. It is quieter and calmer at home, while the office offers more fun, action, and snacks. The combination of both environments works perfectly for me!
What was the most interesting project you have been working on at XING?
I love recruiting so much because every recruiting project is different, making my day-to-day recruiter life truly interesting. The most interesting project right now is bringing our knowledge in recruitment and about our recruitment tools to other teams in sales and customer success. Sharing is caring!
What was the best benefit or incentive so far you have received during your time at the New Work Group?
Incentive: As a team, we once spent a few days at the German Baltic Sea, which was a fantastic experience. The beautiful location, delicious food, and time spent at the beach were all aimed at helping us get to know each other better.
Benefit: I have greatly benefited from the consulting and coaching services offered by the NEW WORK Group through the Fürstenberg Institute. It helped me overcome a challenging period in my personal life.
From your perspective: What are the key factors that make a Recruitment Consultant a good one?
Having a curiosity to learn new things, creativity, and openness are all qualities that I value. Additionally, being able to connect with people and actively listen are skills that I prioritize and continually work on.
