Your tasks:
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to support the design, implementation, and evaluation of new algorithms, machine learning models, and data-driven features.
- Assist in the maintenance and optimization of existing services to meet current needs.
- Help design and implement components that are sustainable, considering observability, computational costs, ease of use, and future maintenance.
- Participate in building, deploying, monitoring, and operating services within our infrastructure, while automating processes where possible.
- Work with technologies such as Scala, Python, Kafka, Kubernetes, Snowflake, DBT, Spark, and AWS.
Your skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in Software Engineering.
- Basic programming knowledge in either Scala or Python, with exposure to deploying and configuring applications on AWS.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and DBT.
- Familiarity with scalable software and services that process large volumes of data, including real-time processing components and REST services.
- Understanding of data storage solutions (e.g., relational databases, key-value stores) and related data processing technologies.
- Proficient English language skills (German is not required).
